Marie Rudisill (1911-2006) was the author of eight books, including Fruitcake: Memories of Truman Capote and Sook. Director of the Southern Foodways Alliance, John T. Edge is a contributing editor at Gourmet and author of numerous books, including the James Beard Foundation Award-nominated cookbook A Gracious Plenty: Recipes and Recollections from the American South.
